MEET rae.

Rae was born and raised on Miami Beach, Florida.  Her parents were Cuban Jewish immigrants who fled Castro’s communist regime in 1960 and settled in Miami Beach. She is fluent in Spanish.

After graduating from Miami Beach Senior High School, she attended George Washington University where she earned her B.A. degree in 1987 and her law degree from Nova Southeastern University School of Law in 1993.

Rae is the managing partner of Chorowski & Clary, P.A., in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Since founding her firm in 1993, she has concentrated her practice exclusively on marital and family law. Rae is a Florida Supreme Court-certified Family Law Mediator and trained in Collaborative Law. She has frequently been appointed as a Special Magistrate by judges in Broward County. In addition to being rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, she has frequently been featured in Florida Trend’s Legal Elite magazine and Florida Super Lawyers in the area of marital and family law.

Having established an outstanding reputation as a family law practitioner in the South Florida legal community, Rae has frequently been invited to lecture on marital and family law topics in continuing legal education seminars sponsored by the Florida Bar, The Broward County Family Law Section, Nova Southeastern University, and The National Business Institute.  In addition, she has lectured to diverse community groups on issues involving marital and family law, including the impact and implications of marriage on the LGBTQ community. She has also taught pre-trial and trial skills to law students as an adjunct professor of law in the Civil Law Clinic at Nova Southeastern University School of Law.

Rae’s extensive community service includes service as a member of the 17th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee, the Board of Directors of Hispanic Unity of Florida, Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Inc., and Our Fund.  She is also Past-President of the Broward County Hispanic Bar Association and is currently a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and Broward County Bar Association.

In her limited free time, Rae enjoys skiing in Colorado and spending time at her home in the mountains of North Carolina.
